Is elderly care at home suitable if my relative lives alone?
Elderly care at home can work very well for people who live alone, particularly if they want to stay independent but are starting to struggle with some tasks. We’ll look at how often visits are needed to keep them safe and comfortable – perhaps a morning call for support with washing and breakfast, plus an evening visit for supper and night-time routines. For people who feel anxious overnight, planned night-time care or sleep-in support can provide reassurance. We’ll also encourage ways to stay socially connected, such as community groups or video calls with family, so living alone doesn’t mean feeling lonely.
