# What should I do if my parent refuses accepting help completely?

Try not to turn the conversation into a power struggle. A firm refusal today does not mean the answer will always be no. Start by asking what exactly worries them. It might be cost, privacy, fear of strangers, or concern that family are pushing too hard. Once you understand the reason, you can address that point more clearly. Sometimes it helps to suggest a very small trial instead of a long-term arrangement, or to start with one task they dislike such as cleaning or shopping. If your parent still says no, keep communication open and revisit the subject later. Changes in health, confidence, or routine often alter how support is viewed over time.
