Your Journey to The Good Place
We believe recruitment should be straightforward, fair and transparent. Below is an overview of what you can expect once you submit an application.
Stage 1 - Application Review
Our Senior Leadership Team (usually our Registered Manager) will carefully review your application, considering your experience, skills, values and potential. We will contact you to let you know the outcome, whether you are successful at this stage or not.
You should hear from us within 3 working days of submitting your application.

Stage 2 - Interview
If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to attend either an in-person or remote interview. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to learn more about The Good Place, the role, and ask any questions you may have. We may also ask some scenario based questions. Following your interview, we will contact you to let you know the outcome, whether you are successful at this stage or not.
You should hear from us within 5 working days of your interview.

Stage 3 - Conditional Offer
If you are successful at interview, we will make you a conditional offer of employment. This means your offer is subject to satisfactory completion of all required pre-employment checks.
We kindly ask that you let us know within 7 days whether you wish to accept or decline the offer.

Stage 4 - Pre-Employment Checks
Once you have accepted your conditional offer of employment, we will begin our safer recruitment checks. These include obtaining references, verifying your right to work in the UK, completing an Enhanced DBS check, confirming any relevant qualifications and carrying out any other checks required for the role.
Some of these checks rely on third-party organisations and your referees, so the timescales can vary. In most cases, this stage takes around 30 days to complete, with the Enhanced DBS check often taking the longest.

Stage 5 - Welcome & Onboarding
Once all of your pre-employment checks have been completed satisfactorily, we will agree your start date and welcome you to The Good Place.
On your first day, you will complete a comprehensive induction to help you settle into your new role. During your first week, you will work alongside an experienced member of our team before beginning to work more independently. Throughout your probationary period, we will hold regular review meetings, provide mandatory training and ongoing support, and help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in your role.
